Summer Quiet Time Bible Study #2

Our second week has started in our Summer Quiet Time Bible Study.  This week we are reading all about The Proverbs 31 Woman.  She is one of my favorites.

I noticed there were a few copies that haven't been picked up yet of your Bible study in the lobby.  Be sure and get it as soon as possible.  It is an easy and very informative book that will be a cinch to catch up on.  Last week's lesson was on Eve.

At the end of this post, you will find a note from one of the author's of this study, Ann Sprangler.  I sent it out on a note to all the participants of the study.

Have a great summer!

"I am excited to learn from Beverly Dillow that you will be spending the summer focusing on the lives of some of the Bible's most prominent women. So often, their stories are overshadowed by the male characters in Scripture, with whom many of us are already familiar. But neglecting the stories of these women means that we are missing out on all that God wants to teach us. It's no accident that each woman is featured in Scripture. Even though they lived in historical circumstances and cultures very different from our own, we can relate to their struggles and joys, perceiving how God used them, despite their weaknesses. Coming to grips with the challenges they faced helps us to be honest about our own difficulties, but in an atmosphere of hope because we see how faithful God is. For each of you I pray that the summer will bring with it a fresh revelation of God's goodness and his power to help you as you connect with the stories of the women of the Bible."

 Blessings,
 Ann
